a parka for my girl.

i made my first parka! i joke. not really.... i just made my first parka cover. you see, we found this old gem that was worn by me and  my sister as little girls....and now it fits my lovely c perfectly. it needed to be recovered cause it had been sitting in a trunk for 20 years. so i found some groovy corduroy and with the help of my eskimo mama... i made my first calico for a parky. the ruff is wolverine and it's lined with mouton. it's a cozy piece and keeps my lovely quite toasty.

my girl wore it to all the festivities this past week..including watching the iditarod champion finish.

Love it Mori! It looks awesome. I was really liking seeing all the bright, colorful parkys around town at iditarod.
