burlap.

Reusing, repurposing, green crafting, preserving the planet... whatever you want to call it... I like to do it.
I love giving something that could possibly be thrown away new life. Trash to treasure. Today I dived into some burlap. Burlap coffee sacks from a local roaster that purchases coffee beans from like Guatemala and Kenya and other cool places. They give the leftover burlap sacks away and I like to snatch them up and give them some new life.

Burlap. Its kind of a funky fiber to work with. It's real rugged. and durable. It sort of has a mind of its own sometimes. But I think it adds some serious character to each piece... and I appreciate the imperfections.
