some days look like this......
and today was one of those days.
we had company coming for dinner...i was trying to do too much at once and this italian strawberry tart slipped right out of my hands and out of the pan. i screamed. stared at it in disbelief. tried not to cry....then came to my senses...salvaged what i could and stuffed it into some cute tea cups..topped it with cool whip and fresh strawberries and all was well in my world again.
sigh.

I had a jinxy cooking week last month... I blew up a pyrex pan in the oven and ruined the entire dinner among other amazing feats of spastic-ness. Sounds like you pulled off a good recovery though!
