happy ending!

sad story: our power went out for several days while we were out of town. we lost everything in our freezers. everything. our biggest loss, gallons of tundra blueberries. berries we spent hours and hours picking.  i was devastated. you see, i use blueberries a lot..at LEAST once a week.  days went on, then weeks, i went to the freezer several times forgetting that there were no more berries in there...  i missed having that delicious berry available to me at all times. a month passed and we left again. to my parent's house...and in their freezer... several gallons of blues! ma shared with me. the end.

and so i made these.
to. die. for.

SO So sorry to hear about your loss of all your hard work picking berries. That make me sad for you. Hopefully this summer will be full of berries on the tundra for you to pick. Sending you lots of love. Hugs and kisses for the girls. Auntie Margaret

Oh my gosh, I don't know what I'd do if our freezers went out. I'd kinda hope that the coldness would keep them cold! (Ours are in the shop, where it's not warm until you start the wood stove.)

Adii. So cheap.

Glad your mama shared. I might have some Crans and stuff I can send out.

Arrrghhhh.... I read your post and was dismayed. Now it is compounded by the fact that our 18 year old freezer died too! It must have happened when we had company from FBKS because I hadn't been in it for 5 days because I was so busy with them. We went to pull meat from the freezer tonight and ugggghhh it was horrid. We do have a second freezer but it has no elk, buffalo or deer meat in it. At least we still have antelope, fish, turkey, and a ham or two.
